Who We Are
Welcome — we’re Jade and Jeff. We offer calm, personalized in-home dog boarding from our cozy, dog-friendly home in San Mateo, serving nearby Bay Area communities.
As a retired husband-and-wife team, we’re fully committed to providing attentive, enrichment-based, boarding filled with the care, love, and belly rubs your dog deserves. We intentionally care for a small number of dogs at a time — typically up to three, and up to four during holidays and peak periods, creating a calm, cozy alternative to loud, crowded kennels.
Every dog is carefully screened to ensure a safe, happy pack and a comfortable stay for everyone. This approach allows us to provide personalized, one-on-one attention, along with enriching activities that keep your dog mentally engaged and having fun throughout their stay.
We specialize in high-touch, cage-free dog boarding for dogs who do best in a quiet, low-volume home environment. Crates are never required, but are welcome if your pup prefers their crate.

Our retired lifestyle allows us to provide what most boarding options can’t: consistent, attentive, all-day and all night care. When we do step out briefly for errands or dinner, we plan carefully so dogs are rarely left alone for more than four hours. Most of the time, one of us is home.
We’re fully insured under a top-tier, comprehensive pet care business policy, Business Insurers of the Carolinas, with a liability limit up to two million dollars so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
We don’t currently have a dog of our own, which means we pour all our love and attention into the dogs we care for and every one of our pup guests is treated like a cherished member of our family.
Our goal is to make your dog’s staycation completely enjoyable and stress-free. You can fully relax knowing they’re well cared for in a quiet home environment, similar to the care they receive at home with you.
What We Offer
A calm, spacious home with fenced-in front and back yards, play area, and a roomy patio so dogs can relax, sniff, and explore
Daily walks, paced to your dog’s age, energy level, and weather conditions. Most outings average about 30 minutes.
Personalized feeding and plenty of spontaneous, joyful one-on-one play
Enrichment experiences like treat scavenger hunts, scent games, and puzzle toys to keep curious minds engaged and content
An abundance of relaxed cuddle time and attention, including nightly tuck-ins to help your pup wind down and feel secure
Daily photo and video updates. You’ll receive plenty of photos, videos, and written check-ins throughout your dog’s stay so you never feel far away
Peace of mind knowing your dog is in our family home, receiving the dedicated one-on-one attention and personal care they deserve
Our Services
Standard Boarding - 24 hours: Starting at $125 a day *
Peak Periods/Holiday Boarding - 24 hours: Starting at $155 a day. Please see our schedule.
Limited Doggy Daycare : Starting at $100 a day - 8:00 am to 6:00 pm **
Seniors and adult dogs needing additional support: additional care fees may apply
Puppies: Although we love puppies, we are not equipped to care for dogs under 12 months of age.
* Standard Rates reflect routine care for healthy, fully continent dogs. Additional fees may apply for care that is beyond standard care.
** We don't offer a regular daycare program. Daycare service is available on a limited, non-recurring basis.

Curious to see what pet parents are saying about us?
We love the attention and care that Jade and Jeff give to our dog Yahtzee when he stays with them. We get regular updates and photos/videos on how he's doing, and what he's been up to. He always looks happy and relaxed lounging on their couch watching TV with them, playing ball in their yard, and when they take him out on daily walks. They even did a cookie scavenger hunt with him and the other dogs they were caring for. But the best review comes from Yahtzee himself, who didn't want to leave when we returned from a week-long vacation and came to pick him up. He just acknowledged my wife, and then promptly went back inside to hang out with his dog camp pals. And he seemed genuinely sullen for the first couple of days back home, because he'd been having so much fun with Jade and Jeff. So take it from Yahtzee... this is a great place to stay and have a blast when your humans leave town!

Jade & Jeff are amazing! They have created such a safe, loving environment for our fur baby to stay when we need pet care. They also consistently updated us with videos and pictures so we know how everything is going and paid special attention to our requests for how to support our dog in certain social situations. I love Jade and Jeff’s dog sitting setup! It is truly a pet staycation where your dog has all the comforts of home in an exciting new place. Ollie has stayed with them several times and we’re planning to leave him again for a longer vacation. He gets walks, playtime in the yard or a nearby park with new dog friends, and comfy places to sleep (dog beds, sofa etc) just like at home. I especially appreciate the big fenced yard where they can play. Plus I get the peace of mind that Jade carries insurance , and she sends plenty of pictures so I can see how he’s doing. I highly recommend Jade and Jeff if you are looking for a dog sitter!

This is the second time we’ve left our dog, Watson, with Jade & Jeff. Of course, Watson—unlike a 5-year old left at day care, is unable to give us a full account of his time with the “babysitter,” but all indications are that it was extremely good. When we got close, he was eager to go to their house. Jade & Jeff gave reports with the photos that rang true, and were not simply what we would want them hear (about his initial anxiety and his getting over it), they seemed to develop a real affection for Watson, got to know and appreciate him; when we picked him up he seemed happy and in good shape. We would definitely use them again.
